The Last Huzzah - October 13th

Post by Primarch » Wed Aug 06, 2014 5:38 am

Despite getting assurances from several people that they were planning to run events this year as I was busy, I notice that summer gaming in Japan has been kind of lacking. So, I have decided to arrange one last gaming day at the Lifelong Learning Centre in Higashi Betsuin.
The date of the event is October 13th. This is a MONDAY. However, it is also a national holiday (Sports Day) for those of you with companies which respect that kind of thing.
We have 6 gaming tables from 9am to 4:30pm in the usual rooms on the first floor, so we probably have time for 2 games based on past experiences.

Ideally, I'd like to organise 1 big game of Black Powder as it has been a while since we did that, but that depends on attendees. There will be other tables for whatever you want to play. I will provide some terrain, but I can't bring everything anymore.

Entrance will be 500 yen to cover room fees.

PLEASE check with your boss if you will be free that day before making wild promises. It is a holiday, but....

Anyway, who can make it, what do you want to play and so on? Comments below if you would. :D

I'll send to depots for replacements to fill the ranks and muster my strength for the French Empire.

And thanks for putting this together in advance.

I would love to but I'll be in Manila that holiday taking a well earned break.
I am up for a big game of Black Powder another day.

-Edit-

Actually I fly back that day so I might be able to pop in for the evening.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

I was due to be OS for work, but it looks very likely that trip will be pushed back a few weeks, so if that does happen I'll be there.

I'd like to play Bolt Action or maybe X-Wing. Otherwise I could do WFB or 40k depending on other people's preferences.
So many games, so little time....

@Badruck - We'll sort you out with something. No worries.
@Ashmie - We have to be out of the room at 4:30pm, so no evening games I'm afraid.

I may be able to make this event. Watch this space...

*edit* hoo-rah! The grand high heejin says all is good. (This is all possible because for the first time in 7 years I dont have a speech contest that weekend. Yay!)

Soooooo, what are folks up for? I can do 40k*, I kinda have a hankering for some Malifaux, and Warmahordes is always an option. Alternatively, i should have the new infinity starter box by October, so if anybody wanted to stumble their way through a new ruleset with me, that might be cool. It'd all be unpainted, mind you. My plan is to get it all shinied up and demo it at Naghammer next year, but I do hope to get in some games before then so I can, yknow, learn how to play it myself...

Anyway - who's up for what?

*and, ahahaha, new dark eldar codex is expected just around then  ...

Can most likely make it. At the moment 40k, Bolt Action or Dredd would appeal most but open to persuasion.

I have a tentative interest in dredd, if you'd be up for teaching me the ropes. I know naaafink at the mo, but could muster a gang of gangy types (necromunda escher, mostly)
