January 14th - The Forgotten Games
January 14th - The Forgotten Games
In recent times we've all heard the cry of the over-indulged wargamer. "I have too many games I want to play. I never get time to play them all."
Well 2018 is going to be different. We're kicking things off with a day for all those alternative wargames that always seem to be lurking on the fringes of our hobby. Those games which we always want to play, but never quite seem to get around to.
On January 14th, you are all invited to the NTK Hall in Kanayama (The NagoyaHammer venue) for a day of alternative wargaming. We will have 5 tables for use, but since it should be possible to squeeze some of the more skirmishy games onto 3' by 3' or 4' by 4' we can probably get more games going on if we need to. Entrance will be 500 Yen per person.
So which games can you play?
Whatever you like really, however to encourage the playing of those non-mainstream games I'm going to limit things a little.
No 40K
No Bolt Action
So blow the dust and cobwebs off those old forgotten minis and come along to fumble your way through half remembered rules and constantly checking the rulebook to see if this game allows pre-measuring.
And if there is a game you want to try, speak up and maybe someone will be able to give you a game. I will try to provide some terrain where I can. Let me know if you need something bringing. Otherwise people should make an effort to bring stuff for the games they want to play.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all there.
Regards,
P.

A great idea! I will very likely attend, and might even prepare something to bring if there's interest (Lord of the Rings set piece battle anyone?).

I plan to attend. I might bring either Walking Dead All Out War or Dead Man's Hand.
So many games, so little time....

I should probably be there. I might bust out Arena Rex (histori-fantasy Gladiator 'skirmish game) for its grand debut.

The smallest force you could do would be 3 mounted Samurai. The largest would be 50 peasants. Most forces have about 8-12 models depending on faction choice and how elite you want them to be.job wrote:How many minis will I need for Ronin?komura wrote:I'll attend this event with Ronin game.

@Job and Primarch
I'll prepare necessary stuff there. Would be 8-12 figure at each side.
The faction will be notified before this event.
