Visions of the war to come - NagoyaHammer 2018

Post by Primarch » Wed Aug 30, 2017 10:28 pm

In a little over a month, I have to go and book the room for NH2018. I figure that starting a discussion now will allow some of the slowpokes out there to post up a response. :D

With the recent release of the new edition of 40K, I'm guessing that people will want one full day dedicated to it? If there are enough people looking to play, I have no problem with having a pure 40K day, with the second day being more open. (Probably BA, free tables for 40K and other games by arrangement).

I have no ideas about Power Levels or Missions, so I'd need folks to recommend something suitable for games of about 2.5 - 3 hours long.

So, what do you think? Does the new edition of 40K have the staying power to remain popular until next May? Will you be interested in playing a full day of it? Are you already planning your army of unprecedented cheese? How many words would a Word Bearer bear if a Word Bearer could bear words? How many Primarch on Primarch duels do you forsee? All these questions and more need answering before the end of September. Good luck brave warriors!

I'd play it all day, too.

As for your first question: they'd bear one word, for there is only one Word, and that is the Word of Lorgar. They are the bearers of the Word, not words. So that's that cleared up, eh :D

No idea about Primarchs. It'll largely depend on whether or not I decide to get Morty, and get him painted in time to whup Jus's Girlyman's ass. :?

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Getting the Exodites out on the table for a day would be good, even if there are Primarchs wreaking havoc with deeds of heroism and hedonism!

Another day of WW2 action would be great, too. Maybe I can finally get my Polar Bears done!

Theoretical: were he even to get Mortarion, dear m.i.j will likely never get him painted in time for nagham 2018.
Practical: our boy girlyman will shatter the presumption of the traitor...or not.

Wahaha. On a one on one fight though my money is on Mortarion. Fantastic model btw.
Oh and 40k for whole day (and will probably be playing 40k on the other as well ). But then you all knew I was going to suggest that anyway.

With you being the (now) 2nd biggest 40K Fanboy in our group, I'd expect nothing less.

I'll join this event. I prefer one day for 40K and another day bolt action.

I resemble that remark! :D

But yeah, I'd be up for taking part for, like, the first time ever.
Feel free to call me Dave!

You know I'm in. I like the 1-day-of-40K-1-day-of-whatever-you-fancy, set up. We thinking about something like a tournament, or just slap down "X" power level of toys on the table and go?
