There are only a couple of comics I still buy, and those only in collected tpb format:
Invincible - as Prim noted above. Great superhero comic that goes far beyond the usual fare
Usagi Yojimbo - been reading this since high school. Stan Sakai's fantastic tales of Samurai and Japanese legend told through the lens of talking anthropomorphic animals.
Walking Dead - the comic differs from the TV show, sometimes the same, sometimes very different.
Otherwise I'd also recommend Powers - a comic about cops who investigate superhuman crimes (well it starts that way anyway...!)
Comic Recommendations!
Re: Comic Recommendations!
Spent most of my free time today binge reading the first 15 issues of Saga. Great stuff.

Re: Comic Recommendations!
Just finished reading up to the current issue of East of West, an alternative history, SF, pre-biblical apocalypse story. Death (as in 4 horsemen) is the protagonist, as various cowboys, indians, demons, spirits, shaolin monks, talking eyeballs and evil balloons try to bring on/prevent the end of the world.
It's really, really good.
