I am beginning to suspect that with his propensity to sensationalize and blow even the slightest unflattering (to GW) snippet into some sort of earth shattering crisis that MIJ may have been a newspaper reporter in his youth. What's the Scottish version of the "World Weekly News"?

As for my view of GW (as a corporate entity), while it's possible to individually excuse the various things theyve done over the years to make gaming in Japan as difficult as they can, taken cumulatively their attitude stinks. They don't care about their customers, and personally, i think they dont care about me. I dont expect them to care about me as a person, but I do expect them to care about me as a customer. At the very least I expect them to make it as easy as possible for me to buy their products, not more difficult. Surely thats just good business sense?

They are trying to get us to use Japan stores or mail order. Also it's clear that they know about this forum and research from it. Perhaps all the slagging them off has gotten on their wick and they are just trying to piss us off now for a laugh.

They did see fit to inform you that they were making changes to their shipping costs. Again, we dont know whether this is their own doing, or the shipping company that they use simply putting it's prices up. For once though, they did bother letting us (the customers) know about it beforehand.

1 Big tank box (Land Raider sized) has a shipping cost of about 8 pounds.
Between 2 and 4 have a shipping cost of about 24 pounds.
Between 5 and 10 have a shipping cost of about 33 pounds.

Today:
1 Land Raider shipping is....(wait for it).....FIFTY POUNDS!!!! Sweet monkey on a ridiculously priced bicycle.
Ok, maybe its just a flat rate.
2 will set you back 83 pounds??? WTF
3 to 4 will cost 154 pounds.

Apologies to M_i_J, the sky has actually fallen. (unlike the price of shipping). A 600% increase in the cost of shipping one box. Does Jervis deliver it in person himself?

I just hope that this will be the proverbial straw and that people will actually realise what a bunch of c@nts GW are and stop buying from them. If you or anyone continues to buy from them after they pull a stunt like this, they are condoning such practices. By the way, you can find stores elsewhere (US and Canada) that sell at discounted prices and ship to Japan. I found one Canadian store just now that sells everything at 30% off MRSP. For many things this will be cheaper than buying in Japan.
