By work, I mean anyone whose livelihood depends on GW. Not outriders who are paid in miniatures.

And that is the problem. GW are relying on your love and enthusiasm for the hobby/game/setting to overshadow this complete FUBAR of a business move. In the past they have always managed to keep people interested despite the price hikes. This, I hope, will be the proverbial straw.

You have more than enough minis to play 40K with.
You have more than enough bitz the make anything new they might think of.
You have access to Ebay to pick up any spare stuff you might want second hand.
You have access to the internet to get PDFs of all and any codices you might want.

There really is no reason to keep buying from them mate.

Give your money to a company that will appreciate your patronage. God knows GW don't.

GW's attitude.

They offend me, plain and simple.

....but the days of MiJ buying whole 2000pt armies in one fell purchase (I did do this with both my tau and DE, btw) are gone. Gone diddly gone. I really think the time has come when we can finally turn our backs on them.
My dear MIJ, and Spevna,

Thank you both for your opinion...again. This is not the first time we have heard you make this point...again. Nor is it the second time, again nor is it, dare I say even the third, again.

I am, without pause or reservation, sure that your voices are heard (again) and I am certain that the entire nagoya hammer community is now 100% convinced, again, that you are dedicated to the position that you hold to on this thread( again ). Parroting all the points you have listed to support your case, again and again and yet again.

The reason I made my post above was to address the endless torrent of negativity on this thread. It seems that every time someone writes something slightly optimistic, they get shot down with:
Still buying loads of GW stuff = Total mug with no self respect.
or comments of that ilk, again

Its like hen pecking someone over and over,to quit smoking, giving the same reasons over and over. Because you don't smoke and you don't think anyone else should.
Now you can understand how that might come off as off putting.

For the love of God, I GET IT. You are killing what little joy there is left to the game called Warhammer.

please don't you reply to this post with something along the lines of "..but Jus, the prices are crazy, you really ought not to... they've screwed us blah blah blah," or "...by all means jus, give those bastards or your hard earned money,"

Mark my word gents,if you do, I will be very cross.

I would love to do a GK army but will only do it if I can find suitable proxies.

I find your blind optimism as off putting as you find my negativity.

If my comments are killing the "little joy" left in Warhammer, it is indeed in dire straits regardless of what I say/type.

I'm not telling anyone to give up on the game. I posted this earlier;
You have more than enough minis to play 40K with.
You have more than enough bitz the make anything new they might think of.
You have access to Ebay to pick up any spare stuff you might want second hand.
You have access to the internet to get PDFs of all and any codices you might want.
I am encouraging people to continue playing, just not to continue supporting GW.

If you don't like what people are posting you could just, you know, not read them.

If you want a thread that is optimistic, start a new one. Call it 'Every cloud has a silver lining". Specify that you want to keep it upbeat and positive. As the thread starter, that'll be your prerogative. Don't come onto a thread started by someone else and start telling people what they can and cannot post. It'll just make you look silly when people ignore you and post what they want anyway.

Nope, thats true enough. Ain't no one can stop the spevna stance.

With respect, I don't like what GW have done, I hope I've made that clear, and its not blind optimism. My view is that, we won't get much out of wailing on them for being the bastards that they are, but I still like their minis, so I will buy... but very sparingly.

Should we continue this discussion, you will probably be painting the words "love 40k, hate GW," with my blood on the walls of your school. So lets just leave it at that.

You may carry on giving GW a right and proper bollocking, they do deserve it after all. But note that, all has been said, done and heard many times over already.

one thing however -
You have more than enough bitz the make anything new they might think of.
I don't think terminator bits will ever amount to a very good necrosphinx.
