I'll be needing some razorbacks or similar heavy support, so am curious.
The icing on the cake...

Just a quick question about Forgeworld. Did there shipping fees go up as well?

Are you just in this thread spoiling for a fight or do you actually believe the incredible amount of bull manure that is spilling from your mouth?Mike the Pike wrote:Didn't the Admiral work for GW for a while?

Nope. FW is still good as gold. Yes, that's right. FW are now far cheaper that GW.

FW's shipping is the same as ever, 15% of your order total. However, they dont discount VAT. When I asked them about that they said that they 'Weren't set up to remove VAT from products' and that 'I should contact the HR Customs and Tax office.'kojibear wrote:Just a quick question about Forgeworld. So compared to the price of GW last week, they are more expensive. Compared to the price of GW this week, they are less expensive.
Still, it is best to order 250 pounds worth of stuff to claim the free postage.
Oh and they dont stock razorbacks, predators or whirlwinds. Only rhinos, drop pods and land raiders for marines.
Whilst we're on this topic, FW ONLY sell the following GW kits for 40k.
Tau: Pirahna, Hammerhead, Devilfish, Skyray,
Marines: Land Raider (vanilla and crusader), Rhino, Drop Pod,
Chaos: Land Raider, Defiler,
Eldar: Wave Serpent,
Tyranids: Carnifex,
IG: Leman Russ, Demolisher, Chimera, Basilisk
Ork: Trukk.
So not bad for transports but sucks for pretty much everything else.

Re: The icing on the cake...
they do the web/prism tank thingy too, if you order one of those Dcannon tanks. Mine has 3 turrets
and do they not have a MkII falcon, too?

If Ground Zero Games and other piddly companies run out of a shed can figure out how to deduct VAT, Forge World can too - they just can't be arsed.Primarch wrote:FW's shipping is the same as ever, 15% of your order total. On the other hand, is 15% a reasonable shipping charge? I have heard it said that it's less than the cost of overseas postage, so that in effect the 20% surcharge on non-EU sales goes towards the postage. I can't comment one way or the other, since I've not bothered to look at the numbers.
