Maelstrom Shipping

Would like to know why Maelstrom takes so looooong time to ship?
In my experience Wayland takes less time, do they use different delivery services? I know that Maelstrom uses Royal Air Mail or something.. You get tracking on the Wayland shipping as well.

I tried to order from Maelstrom for the first time 2 weeks ago, just to compare to wayland and they finished processing my order about the next day, been waiting ever since.

To be honest this post was just written so that I could come to senses with my frustration.

hmm yeah I know what you mean. I think Maelstrom, and wayland for that matter, are still reeling from the GW trade agreement, and their massive backlog is causing the delays. Don't worry, its not just you, everyone is in the same boat waiting for their orders. Usually Maelstrom is very prompt with their shipping i used to buy from them all the time and they will ship or stuff eventually. Hopefully they will recover by August and everything returns to normal.

if it makes you feel any better, I once had to wait an entire 6 months for 2 models from maelstrom.

6 months is not nice..
But I feel stupid now because the delivery just showed up.
Now I am more surprised by how infinitely tiny infinity models are.

:D don't worry. If you hadnt posted this thread, they would never have been delivered. Thats how the universe works, I reckon :D

I ordered a few paints from Maelstrom last week, and they were posted a day or two later. Once theyre in the post, they should, in my experience, only take a week to ten days to get here. Ive had delays from both wayland and maelstrom in getting stuff shipped, but once it hits the mail its largely out of their hands.

I've had massive delays when I have ordered out of stock goods. Other things have been posted the day after I ordered them. 7 - 10 days is usual for shipping times and both Wayland and Maelstrom use the same service. However, you pay for Waylands shipping so you get a tracking number. If you get a large delivery (say 3 boxes of stuff) customs might stop it and send you a letter asking for an invoice and a total value of the goods which adds a week to the delivery time.

Oh, and Infinity models aren't small. GW models are big.

Dont know about that mate.. Just got that SAS model that I wanted delivered today, compared to my Malifaux, Reaper, Anima Tactics and even my 28mm Perry miniatures it looks too small and skinny to use together with any of those ranges.

Malifaux is pretty big (what did you buy for that anyway?)
Reaper is usually pretty large.
Anima and Perry I haven't seen, but comparing Infinity to my 28mm German Grenadiers (Warlord) and my 28mm Napoleonic Brits (Victrix), they seem fairly similar.

Well, Anima minis are tall, but Perry minis are quite small.
For Malifaux I have the Hans the Mercenary Sniper and Kirai Ankoku minis.

I bought them to use in Strange Aeons, but I might expand if I get interested in Malifaux later on.
