Yay or Nay

Post by Dungeon Lord » Wed May 30, 2012 5:44 am

Ok, so I was on the train yesterday just chillin' with my iPad playing Angry Birds when these junior high kids gets on and one starts blatantly looking over my shoulder watching. So I told him to stop, then I look back and he is doing it again!

Rude little prat? Yea Or Nay! ??

Grow a beard, shave your head, scowl a lot or wear dark sunglasses, and add a few kilos of muscles. The Spevna guarantees the level of staring will drop dramatically.

Good on you for telling him off mate. And yeah, annoying little gobshite. No doubt.

I got the beard and I can practice my scowling, but I can't promise the shaved head or extra kilos unless it is forced upon me... :o

He was probably just generally interested in what you were playing. JHS is so boring for them at times and anything a bit different is interesting. Look how mad they go for ink stamps and key holders for example.
Also if you tell a teenager to stop doing something he/she usually just wants to do that thing all the more.
Don't sweat it mate. kids after all.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Got to disagree there. Staring is rude.

I agree with Ash. While starring is rude, we might all be very rude from time to time. And a kid is a kid, no matter how obnoxious they can be or were in their teenage years.

Still, I can sympathize with getting fed up with the middle school kids. Especially on the trains they can act really inconsiderately.

his reasons for staring (boredom at school, for example) are irrelevant. He shouldn't have been doing it, and that warrants a telling off. I'm fecking bored at work, and I don't go around being rude because of it. It's the same as being all snarky and shouty all day because you're p'd off about something. It's a reason, but it doesn't give you carte blanche to go around being a douche.

haha, should have offered to let him play. (in english)
would have gotten so embarrassed that he'd have either found his sneakers so much more interesting or just run away.

yeah don't be too harsh, kid was only watching angry birds, not staring at a pair of tits, no harm in it right.

I can understand why he was doing it. I doubt if it was because he was bored at school though. There was lots of his friends their to chat with. Heck, I take quick peep at PSPs for a second or two at first. But staring over the shoulder of a stranger is crossing the line I would say.

Next time I will just sand up and stare back until he squirms hehehe
