This came up on my facebook feed yesterday, and it looks...well, gorram interesting, tbh. It's the first (short) movie by Oats Studio, which is the new venture of the bloke who directed District 9 and Chappie. The idea is that his wee studio makes a bunch of movies/shorts/whatevs that are, basically, original and not bloody endless sequels, a la Holywood. Based off this first effort, this is a Good Idea. The whole movie is 22mins long (see youtube link) and if you want to support the idea, you can buy it (plus various other bits and bobs of promo stuff) for 500 yen on Steam. Anyway: Rakka, by Oats Studio. Enjoy

and here is an article about it:

ps for those who remain sceptical, it's a post-apoc sci fi flick about an orrible alien invasion. Puts me in mind of Resistance: Fall of Man, and kinda the Scourge from DFC/DZC (kinda, how the invasion would go down, anyway)
*edit* for those further on the fence, it's a big budget production with very nice effects. Also Sigourney Weaver. So, yeah, money was clearly involved.
