just a quick check - is everybody OK after that earthquake? I'm guessing the Nagoya-ites are fine, but how about you Tokyo folks? Everybody alright?

Things were a bit wobbly here in Nagoya, but no harm done. I heard parts of Tokyo and the North of Japan lost power so there may not be many quick responses. Hopefully everyone is ok.
According to the news that was the 5th biggest quake in the world in the past 100 years. Scary stuff.

Yeah and the worst in the history of the country. Wasn't fun for me as it hit while I was driving.

When the house started shaking I have to admit I tried to pass bricks.

when it all went jiggly Id been sitting in a seemingly interminable meeting for about 6 straight hours, so I actually (really) thought Id gotten so bored I was losing my sense of balance and was about to pass out. But then everyone else started looking around and saying "kimochiwarui, ne" and I realised it wasnt just me...

Please spare a thought for Gralnik 603 and Chrysis, two of our members, who live in the north of Japan (Aomori and Fukushima). I hope you guys, your friends and families are OK.

Tokyo and Chiba are largely okay. Some broken glass, broken dishes and small fires. And the earth is still shaking.

But the north is really done for. I hope you guys don't have any family there and that everybody is okay.
