Fighting Fantasy

Post by kojibear » Tue Apr 26, 2011 12:28 pm

Who doesn't remember their first fighting fantasy novel? Umm...me  But I think it was probably Warlock on Firetop Mountain. These books bring back so many memories and I guess they were my first beginnings of gaming.

If you guys are interested, I ran across an interview with Steve Jackson at something called Salut(http://www.beastsofwar.com/salute/salut ... lute-2011/) and learned that they have a website: www.fightingfantasy.com

Could be worth a look see, if naught for nostalgia's sake. :D

I read quite a few of them and owned several. My favourite was deffo "Sword of the Samurai", about number 20 in the series IIRC

These books come a close second to the Star Wars trilogy in making me the geek I am today. Way more than "the hobbit" etc.

I read somewhere that "Warlock" is available for the kindle, but haven't been able to find it on the Amazon website yet...
