Post by Brother Severus » Mon Mar 10, 2025 9:20 am

Pleasant greetings,I have been living in Japan for a long time but I moved here in Nagoya over a year ago,I would like to connect to people that are into the hobby and specifically in the 40k tabletop gaming scene,I posted in another thread where I ask to look to play some friendly games on a Combat Patrol or a 1000 point scale.

Cheers! :)

Welcome back to the hobby! Probably the easiest thing to do in terms of getting 40K games in is dropping by one of our monthly meetups - the subforum is here and the thread for March's get-together this coming Sunday is here. We've got a lot of 40K players, so it should be pretty easy to set a game up!
Feel free to call me Dave!

Welcome! Just for clarity, the location for the monthly Sunday meetups is usually here:

E-Able Nagoya
7-25 Oicho, Naka Ward, Nagoya, Aichi 460-0015

イーブルなごや
〒460-0015 愛知県名古屋市中区大井町7−25

Just a short walk fron Higashi-Betsuin station on the Meijo subway line.

What faction(s) do you play?
So many games, so little time....
Building a pile of shame since 1983

Thank you to the both of you for your welcome and I'm glad that there are other people in town dedicated to the hobby.
As I mentioned I haven't really played in many years as there was literally no one around me to share the passion for 40K,though I have been keep painting several armies through over a decade.
What I collected so far are these:

3000ish points of Ultramarines
2000ish points of Dark Angels,Imperial Fists
1500ish points of World Eaters,Deathguards,Necrons,Thousand Sons,Black Legion
1000ish points of Imperial Guards,Orks,Dark Eldars,Eldars,Tau,Iron Warriors
1000 less points Deathwatch,Grey Knights

As I need to relearn to play smoothly it would be great to start with some friendly and flexible player as I am not into high competitions, and as I just played a few combat patrol games I wish to try a few more and even a regular 1000 points game,at least for the time being.
The factions that I want to focus to play with are mainly the Dark Angels and Imperial Fists, but also the Death Guards will be interesting.

Also unfortunatelly I will not be in town on the 16th so I wonder if you guys set other dates as well in a month, for example for me the 28th,29th or 30th of this current month are also good for some games, there is the Warhammer store in OSU and we can reserve a table if any of you is free on such days.

Welcome to Nagoyahammer (and belatedly - welcome to Nagoya!)

I'm one of the 40k regulars and would be more than happy to give you a game at our club days or Osu. The latter is a bit tight on space so I expect we'll ultimately play a lot more of the smaller games there (Underworlds, Kill Team, Spearhead etc) but a Combat Patrol should be no sweat.

Not sure if I can commit to the 29th or 30th yet but in principle we should be able to roll some dice at some point!

I posted somewhere else this but I’m not sure if it was on the right thread so I’ll say it here as well,on this coming Friday and Saturday (21 or 22) I’ll be available for a Combat Patrol or 1000 point game on Osu at the GW store.
If someone wants to roll some dice I’ll be glad to.

Incidentally I'd be happy to give you a game at the store, I'm just not clear on when that would be. I can't make this weekend and I'm uncertain about next.

Of course either way you should come by on the next Underworlds day and give that game a try
