The "How insane is Prim?" Competition

Post by Primarch » Thu Jun 30, 2011 4:41 am

Do you like free stuff? I know I do, though sadly I dont get stuff free as often as I would like.

In a recent order from Black Scorpion, they sent me a free gift. The gift was one of their minis called The Deadly Gamesman.

The model is unpainted and unassembled and is currently sitting in my apartment in a ziplock bag. To win the mini all you need to do is answer the following question. "How insane is Primarch?" Now, of course, this is difficult to measure in any real sense so to make it easier, the answer should take the form of how much money I spent - in pounds, after discounts etc - at Maelstrom Games (My main hobby supplier) between the start of July 2010 and the end of June 2011.

The person with the closest answer will win the model, which could be used as a character in an RPG, a bad guy in Strange Aeons, or any one of at least a dozen other things. One answer per person please, posted below.

The closing date for this competition is the 15th of July.

What are the different thresholds for the discounts at Maelstrom?

Discounts max out at 14% once you hit 200 pounds, though seasonal sales have discounts with no threshold.

I reckon about 3000 pounds but it could be 4000. Ok I'll go for 4000 pounds.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Hhhhmmmm... a difficult question. Just from one supplier makes it difficult.
I am going for 2000 pounds.
I am sure you spend double that in total though!

Okay... so much could I spend on a heap of plastic and metal before it would send my Japanese wife overboard and crazy? Assuming Prim abstains from boozing, chasing Japanese girls, and weekday yakitoris, along with not participating in things like photography, ryoukan travel, mountain climbing, hot rodding, hot rodding his computer, chinpira, being an idol-fanboy or patroning hostesses, I think he could get away with 3000 pounds. :D
