Hello from Nagano!

Hi there!

I found out about your site through me_in_japan's comment on a CMoN thread. I knew there must be gamers outside Yokosuka, but I hadn't gotten around to looking. Right now I live near Kiso-Fukushima which is like an hour from Matsumoto. I'm into pretty much any aspect of 40k and I play Eldar and Grey Knights mostly. I have a small force of Death Guard, but they have seen only one game since fifth.

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Hi Dnanoodle and welcome to NagoyaHammer.

If you are ever in the area, feel free to post up in the game finder thread and I am sure someone will be happy to give you a game.

In the meantime, feel free to post in any of the ongoing threads and make yourself at home.

P.

I wish I could make it to NagoyaHammer 2012, but I'll have to wait until next year as I have travel plans already.

I'd love to come out and play sometime though. I saw there are smaller events each month. If I can I'll try to come check it out sometime. I also let my Yokosuka group know about the site. We've got about 15 or so players out there.

Are most of you fellas in Nagoya? Anyone else out in the boonies like I am? Haha

We have some recent posters from Toyama, which I think is fairly close to you.

howdy there :) glad you could join us :)

As Prim has said, feel free to chip in to any of the conversations going on around here. At the moment the flavour of the month is grumbling about GW (um...that's the flavour every month...), the great ChapterHouse vs GW IP debate, and general anticipation of this year's Nagoyahammer event. It's good to hear there are other gamers out there. A couple of our members are based down in the south (for the life of me I cant remember which bit) but you're the first we've heard of a Nagano group. My wife's from Nagano (city), btw, so I pass through Kiso-Fukushima from time to time on the Shinano when we go to visit her folks. Folks here play 40k, WHfantasy, Warmahordes, Malifaux, Cutlass (a pirate skirmish game), and a variety of RPGs, so you should have no trouble finding something to interest you :) Welcome aboard :)

btw - I live in Tsu, which is in Mie prefecture, about an hour south of Nagoya. So, while it is a different boonies from you, it's still pretty boonies-ish :D

Incidentally - big up the eldar/death guard posse - those are my armies of choice, too :D (plus some dark eldar, which are, lets face it, eldar wiv spikey bits...)

Nice fellas, they came down to Nagoya once. Can't say how far they are from Nagano, but bet a good bit closer than Nagoya.

That is a neat blog! Though I think Toyama is pretty far from here. The only one I found on Jorudan is several hours by train. Nagoya is pretty easy though. I ride four hours to Yokosuka to play from time to time and it's more than 4 hours and over 10,000yen. That's actually where my group is. To my knowledge there isn't a Nagano group. Just me at my desk bashing my models together and making explosion sounds

Yeah Eldar are my main army, I guess. Love the heck out of them. Fun units and cool model line. I used to love my Death Guard, but the current Chaos codex took the fun out of it for me. We got FNP, but who doesn't have that, really? And we lost customizable Chosen, indicidual Daemons and Nurgle's Rot among other fun, weird stuff.

Admiral_Badruck, what part of Gifu are you in? Certain parts are fairly close to me.
