is towncrier opened on friday nights? if so what time? I would love to head over there and buy some stuff tonight.

It should be open from 11ish to 8ish, but Ikeda runs his ship casually, so he sometimes opens later, closes door early or may head out to lunch for awhile. You just have to give it a try. I'll be going today myself.
