well, i didnt resolve to do anything last year, and in retrospect that was probably a good call  Looking back, from memory, I think I managed a couple of goblins, a random gnoblar, the ghoul warband for Underworlds, and a troll. I also built a silly number of Commander decks for MtG, as well as buying too many booster boxes and suchlike. In my defence, this was the year that I got a full time job, and as predicted, ended up with more money than time. (not that I have that much money - I just have bugger all time)

My vague resolution for 2021 is: buy less magic cards (not hard), and paint more (also not hard.) More specfically:

Paint 6 Underworlds warbands. Any 6. I'm aiming low here.

Don't buy boxes of Magic cards. Only bundles and singles.
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

I didn't make any resolutions last year, but it worked out pretty well - I don't *think* I've used unpainted minis for gaming for quite some time now. If I stick to that then the motivation will naturally take care of itself - what I really need to do is make more lists with my backlog (Triumph, Mortifiers, Excorcists, non-Space Wolf marine lists to use more of that Indomitus stuff).

Well, what I *really* need to do is make resolutions about studying 日本語。In a bit over a year of living here, I think it's gone backwards, specialised vocabulary aside (突撃!)

Exercise more, eat less junk food. Carry on with only having a drink on special occasions.
Study something new to keep the little grey cells going.
Paint more of course. Happy New Year everyone. Well done for making it through 2020. It's been tough for all. It's been 5 years, missing you all dearly and those carefree days of moving miniatures around a sweltering room in a 35 degree heat. It's an awesome hobby. Looking back I realise how lucky I was to have that freedom. Never would have winged and moaned if I'd have known how much I'd value those golden days.
May there be many more. Keep strong brothers and sisters. Roll well and keep the brush on point.

That's interesting Jye. I can definitely say the most beneficial study for Japanese was the 6 months I did before departure to the country. I've been considering taking a class from home now UK is back in lockdown. Sometimes the formal study with a teacher is best for learning. In my case anyway. Gambatte kudasai.

Good call on The Space Wolves army Jus. I've always fancied painting them. Very cool back story and lore. An army of James Hetfields.
Nearly finished the pile of miniatures from 2013.
Painting mainly historical with some fantasy and Sci-Fi.

Hi Jus, great to hear from you. Good going on the John Hurt Space Marine. I watched I Claudius for the first time last year. Yes, fish and chips and cream teas are one of my main reasons for being in the UK at the moment. 😂 Stay safe everyone.
