Welcome on board, mate :) there're plenty of like-minded gamers on these forums, so you should be able to find a game without too much trouble. Please feel free to take a wander around the forum and chat as you see fit. Most folks here know each other irl, and the conversations tend to reflect that, but you're more than welcome to chip in as you like - we're a friendly bunch (mostly, most of the time*)

So, aye - comment on in, the water's fine :D

*except mike the pike. He's a miserable git :P :D

Hi Luke and welcome to the forums.

Kanagawa is a bit out of the way for most of us, but if you ask around I'm sure someone will be willing to travel for a game or two. If not, you're always welcome to come to Nagoya and play some games here. :D

We have a big 40K event on in Golden Week if you fancy coming along and saying hi and rolling some dice. Aside from that we have monthly games in Nagoya and irregular games across the region (Aichi, Gifu and Mie).

Feel free to jump into any ongoing threads or start some of your own.

Regards,
P.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I must say that after looking at some of the forums and what everyone here is capable of on the modelling/painting front, I am both incredibly impressed and quite intimidated! Its all awesome! Its good to know that I am not alone in Japan in my love for wargaming. Thanks again!

Welcome aboard. Too bad Nagoya is such a distance. We are having a big 40K tournament Golden Week. 2 days of gaming might make it worth the travel expense.
You might have some luck finding some local games here.

Hello all,

I'm Mark and I'm living in Toyama (Uozu). Just got into 40k about a year ago. Made it to the last tourney in May, but couldn't play as I wasn't skilled enough (probably still the same) and the army wasn't painted (it still isn't, so looks like my next month is dedicated to painting).

I play Eldar (looking to play DE also) and I enjoy playing Magic and spend lots of time at Game Centers.

Hope to see everyone at the tourney next month.

Hello Mark,
Welcome to the forum.
You came last year with the guys from Inaka right?

Please feel free to look around the forum and post if you see any topics that look interesting.

Hope to see you again next month.

Howdy Mark :) As prim has said, feel free to make yourself at home and join any of the threads (or start your own). And aye, it'd be cool if you could make it to the games in may. Day 1's tourney will be fairly non-competitive, and day 2 is free for whatever, so by all means just turn up with what you've got and play. (You'll need either a partner and 1000pts or 2000pts (if youre partner-less) on day 1 for the tourney.)

See you there, hopefully :)
