Hi Adam,

Welcome to NagoyaHammer. You're more than welcome to come along to the monthly games days, hang out and watch. Depending on people's availability, you may find someone willing to put on a demonstration game for you and let you try out the two games. The next games day is on September 25th. You can find all of the details here. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4200

In the meantime, feel free to browse the forum, ask questions and join in any conversations that interest you.

Regards,
Prim (aka Stuart)

Hi Adam,

I collect Space Wolves and could very easily give you a demo game to give them a test drive if you come along to a game day. While 40K has a bit of a learning curve, it's not too bad if you break it down step by step and I'm more than happy to go through that with you! It's definitely worth the time to learn, since while lots of different games get played at game day, Warhammer 40K is always one of them.

An alternative, if you're keen to make use of those AoS figures (or similar - which faction are they?), a demo game of Warcry would be a good way to do it. It's a fast playing game and easy to learn.

Hi,
Ill be able to make it to the games day on 25th, looking forward to it. I have been playing around in TTS with some 500pt basic list to understand the rules a bit better. Anyone uses TTS?
I have also read some of the core rules but its a maze of informations.
As for the AoS, i have some orks but I don't really plan on building the whole play legal army, for now at least :) ill concentrate on building one army for 40k until I start AoS as well :P
Cheers!

I often play on TTS and would be happy to give you a demo game online too.

Hi everyone!

I have got back into 40K recently after a long period out of it and went a bit crazy buying a few things earlier this year. I have been steadily painting and I would like to try and get back into the gaming side of things! I am a bit rusty!

I noticed there is a monthly meetup session. Can you pop in at anytime? Not sure I could make the whole session. I have things like gaming mats (most our 44x60 inches) and terrain if there is any need for them too!

Thank you all and I hope to get going to a session sometime soon!

Hi Mephiston and welcome to NagoyaHammer.

If you just want to stick your head in the door and say 'Hi' at the monthly event, or want to schedule a game, it's fine either way.

Fingers crossed you'll be rolling dice and destroying your opponent's army in the near future.

Regards,
Primarch (Stuart)

Great, thank you Primarch for the reply!

I think I will try and pop in this Sunday. Just have to think of a way to transport some of my stuff now!

Thanks again!

Hi Chris!

Feel free to pop in any time, but we usually start games straight away in the morning (or at least as people come in) and then again after lunch. If you're there to play 40K at those times we'll make sure you get a game!

The most common form of 40K (at least in English - a fair bit goes on in Japanese too!) is Crusade games, usually at 50PL. But generally everyone is up for anything - Tempest of War, Matched Play, points, PL, whatever.

If you haven't played 9th yet I'd suggest starting with a smaller game or two to get used to the basic rules and your faction, but if you're keen to get bigger games going once you've knocked the rust off there's plenty of us that would be happy to oblige :)
