NagoyaHammer Dry Run - Ogaki - Mar 22nd - CONFIRMED

Post by Primarch » Wed Feb 12, 2014 12:48 am

With NagoyaHammer not far off, I want to try out the rules I've been working on for the event, both the missions and the task force rules.
With a lot of help from the good Adm. Badruck, the event will take place at the Admiral's School on March 22nd (That's a Saturday if that matters).
The room is free, so the event is free for all who want to attend. It isn't near the station though, so we'll need to sort out transportation from Ogaki.

While we are waiting on Badruck to get back to us with all the location details, let's take a look over the game information.

MISSION
There will be one mission to play, but each table will have it's own rules.
The mission is fixed at 6 turns. One objective dead centre in the table. One more objective placed by each player in his opponents deployment zone. Deployment will be 12" in from the long table edges. Objectives must be at least 12" apart. The central objective is worth 3 points, the others are worth 1 each. Bonus points for First Blood etc as in the main rulebook.

ARMIES
Please bring a list of 750 points and 1500. They don't need to contain the same units, but they must be from the same codex. Forge World is ok, but no allies, apocalypse units, dataslates or fortifications please. This is not a tournament so you don't need to come loaded for bear. Bring a list that you think your opponent will enjoy playing against.
If you have any, you can bring fortifications of up to 100 points, but not as part of your list. These may be allowed in some games depending on the situation.
Please bring one objective marker as well.

TASK FORCES
On the day players will be split into two teams. Each team will need to nominate a captain. Players will either do solo games or tag team games depending on tables available etc. Tag partners will be allocated on a game by game basis if possible to keep things fresh. Tag partners will count as Battle Brothers regardless of the allies chart.

So, any questions?
If you are interested in coming, please post below.
Thanks for reading.

I hope to come, but it depends if I must attend a work setsumeikai on that Saturday. I will let you and the Admiral know as soon as I can.

Cheers.

Sorry - I won't be able to make it due to being in New Zealand. Best of luck with the scenarios :)

I could probably come any Saturday, including this one, with a couple week's notice.

I can attend that Saturday. The schedule is OK. But the problem is I can not prepare 1500army by that Saturday. Could I join this event with only 750army? And could I inform this to another 40K player in beginner culb? Let me know.

750 is fine. If you could tell the beginner club about it, that would be great.
Thanks.

The Admiral has confirmed the date with me. We have the room all day, so I'd like to get things underway and started by 10am.
We need transportation from the station to the school and Badruck has suggested hiring a small van. However, if anyone can drive between Ogaki and the school, it would really help out.

Anyway, the date is definitely the 22nd of March, so if you need to speak to your boss/wives/sinister cult about getting time out of the house/office/underground lair to play, feel free to do so now.

I'm looking forward to seeing you there, or if you can't make it, at some future gaming event.
