@Ash - good to go straight outta the box. Needed to load my contacts n music n stuff from my backup, of course, but the AI actually worked out what my name was without me even telling it (well, not directly, anyway. I daresay my info is in the phone somewhere...)

I was quite glad the phone comes with iOS5 installed, as it took me four hours to get it installed onto my iPad; 2 hours to download the update, then another two hours to restore from backup when the update process stalled halfway through.

Don't listen to him, Seb. Be patient, and wait for the iphone. I found it to be much faster than my old one (which, to be fair, was a humble 3G). I got it last week, but I went in and applied for it a couple of weeks before that. I had been meaning to update my phone for ages, but hadnt got round to it. Just lucky timing, I guess. There's also the fact that I live in Tsu, a town which is noted neither for its love of hi-tech items, nor indeed, its population...

agreed - the camera is a huge improvement. It has a pretty good macro mode, btw. I took those pics of that octopus bust with it, and it coped fine with that.
