I wish I had been quaffing cider what with the day I've had.

If he has found some decent cider in Japan, I cant wait for his next gaming event. (Bourbon isn't really my thing).

I have actually found some decent enough South African cider. Not a bad tipple.

Scrumpy means made from real apples with bits in the bottom. In terms of a scrumpy barmaid, well after 3 or 4 pints she's yours.

People invented matresses for a reason.
Hay isn't so itchy and can be soft to lie on, but it can be a bit sharp at the ends. Plus rats and mice tend to find it nice for sleeping in too. It's better than lying on the floor though.
(One of my best mates growing up lived on a farm and I would hang out there once or twice a month, they always had loads of hay bales around the place).

Sadly, there is a distinct lack of buxom scrumpy barmaids 'oop north.' Plenty of old geezers with flat caps who like whippet racing and collecting pigeons though. Aye, 'tis a bit grim oop north.
