@MiJ - Seriously? Guardians vs Caestus?
heyhey, dont blame me. It was Badruck's suggestion. I was just pointing out to him in excrutiating detail exactly how wrong he was.
I did a quick count of all the times the phrase Broken has been used in the context of "Unit X is broken." I read all the entries and ignored the ones saying not broken, or my model is broken because I dropped it etc.

Guess who's name is filling the number 1 spot?

And it isn't MiJ
Really? Its...really not me?

I am going to guess that is me? but the great thing about not running for president of the free world is I have the right to change my mind... that is what this thread is all about... there was a time when I would have called lots of things broken..... but to be honest I am over that I figure if Eldar can't beat orks then the Eldar Player in not trying hard enough. there was a great article in the Free bootaz webazine from 40k radio about how Eldar can handle Orks... But if MIJ or Mike the Pike use the info to beat me... Well at least I will know I helped them. http://www.40kradio.com/ check out the first or second issue.

Yesterday morning for example.
Admiral-Badruck wrote:it all looks very good. I am not to in to the whole square based game and it looks like the game has been broken what with the new scaven rules if you all thought daemons were bad in 7th check out the scaven. A more broken army you will be hard pressed to find...

Anyway, I am sure Eldar CAN beat orks. It just wont be easy and it wont happen everytime. It can be done though.
As for the Caestus, I want to get one. I think it's a cool idea and I would love to use one, even if it is just for Apocalypse when no-one can complain. Particularly I want to ram a Titan in the face and see what happens.

As I have said before, I would rather lose a close game than win without a challenge. Talk things through with your opponent before the game and make sure you are on the same page with regards to what type of army you should bring.

I am just sick of hearing about it ... and from now on I am going to do my best to debunk the broken unit talk...

Mr. Badruck - I hereby challenge you (again) to pick an eldar army from the units I have (i.e. all of em except support weapons and a coupla HQ special characters) and build thee an army with which you think you can beat orks. I shall do the inverse for the greenskins, as I am fairly sure you have minis for whatever I might pick from the codex. We shall meet at a time and place to be decided. Should you prove the victor, I shall then play against you again with a space marine army. If you win that game too, I promise to never, ever minge about units being broken ever again.

Yes I know this is a public forum and other people can witness this.

*edit* unlike the 40k radio site, it would appear. They want me to pay to read their articles? pull the other one, lads - its got bells on. I aint that keen to see what madness the admiral considers "good eldar tactics"...
