@badruk: hey did you update your iPad to iOS 5.11? I think that reason why the search isn't showing, it needs the update. Dunno could be wrong though.

As far as I can tell, the US and the UK are the only countries where books are actually being sold through the iBookstore. My guess is that there's a lot of legal wrangling to be had with local publishers and copyright lawyers before Apple can actually begin selling content on, say, the Japanese iBookstore. I don't think it's just them — as far as I can tell, you can't download books for your Kindle from Amazon Japan either.
The workaround would be to change the address listed in your iTunes account to the UK, but to purchase the book from the British iBookstore, you would either need a credit card with a UK billing address, or credit from an iTunes gift card purchased in the UK. As an aside, I strongly recommend not having any credit card associated with your account, for security reasons.
Of course, if a scanned PDF of the codex is all you want, those are easy to come by.

I am working on an elaborate plan. Evolving my mom gifting me stuff from the states.Tenorikuma wrote:As far as I can tell, the US and the UK are the only countries where books are actually being sold through the iBookstore. An elaborate plan to pay an extortionate price to get your hands on something you can readily get online for free?
Did you fall out of the idiot tree and smash your head on every branch on the way down?

I'm not sure what the additional content is, but you can't get this file for free. It's not just a scan of the paper book. Whether those extras are worth paying for is a different matter. I won't be buying any of them as well as the ones I own, but instead of is a different matter.

Nothing that is worth forking out £25 quid for. Can say that with great certainty without seeing it.AndrewGPaul wrote:I'm not sure what the additional content is, but you can't get this file for free. It's not just a scan of the paper book. You can't get those files online or free at the moment, but who's to say they won't appear later?
And regardless, as the spev says, there's nowt in the online versions that's worth paying 25 quid for. Even if I love 3d twirly pics of minis with all my heart, I can see em on the GW website for free.
Ps @spev - before prim gets involved, yon tree comment doesn't include any sweary words, but could defo be construed as a personal attack...
Just sayin'...
