Please join us at Mondo Books on the Halloween Weekend for an afternoon of ghost stories. This is a story telling event. Please feel free to get involved if you would like to read something. The readings will be recorded for the night of the dombalum monthly podcast as well as for the shops podcast. If you haven't been to Mondo Books in Nagoya yet it's a great second hand bookstore.
Look forward to readings from modern classics such as Poe, Lovecraft and M.R. James. Stories may be suitable for teenagers and adults but maybe not for younger children. Parental Advisory is recommended.
Spaces are limited to 12 seated and 18 standing.
500 yen per person. Have a break from your iphones and screens and come and enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment.
Afternoon tea will be provided for those who require it. If you would like to attend please e mail on here or contact the bookstore. Mondo Books on their facebook page.
All the best,

Ash.

If the event proves popular, which I'm sure it will, we may do another one at Christmas in true M.R. James fashion.

Happy Halloween chaps. What better way to spend it than painting and listening to 90 minutes of uninterrupted tales. http://traffic.libsyn.com/underagibbous ... tories.mp3

Did anyone go to this event then? Was it something Mondo organised themselves?

No I was organising it and there was little to no interest for attendance so I called it and made it a podcast only recording. Plenty of interest but no real bodies on chairs. Also Mondo were pretty slack with promotion so I thought maybe next year or again somewhere at Christmas. The link above is to what would have been read live by various readers.
