I like the fact that the article points out that Ben Afflek is perfect for the role because he previously starred in Daredevil. Obviously the writer hasn't actually seen that movie!

On the plus side, after Bale's growling it will be nice to hear what Batman is saying for once.

Amusingly, I checked my newly-installed Facebook app today, only to find the first 4 entries in my newsfeed were 4 completely unrelated people publicly expressing their disbelief that Affleck could possibly have been chosen as the new Bat. It's not that I hate the guy, just...Affleck? Batman? Eeeeeeeh????

Yet to see a positive comment about Affleck being chosen to play Batman. I think it's a dreadful choice and while he might have done some good acting of late as in Argo, he is still a far way from being a good batman. I'd like to see a no name with actual talent be chosen.

Eh, people thought Keaton being cast as Batman was the Worst Idea Ever, and that turned out OK.

I dunno if I'd call Keaton "Ok". Barely tolerable, and certainly a vast improvement over the West years, but that was more due to a change of production values than Keaton himself. As for Affleck, I reckon he should be able to handle a fairly schmoozy Bruce Wayne, but I just can't see him doing either scary, ruthless batman, or troubled and tormented soul.

Anyway, if you were making this new movie, who would you cast as Batman? I have no idea, but it just struck me that Benedict Cumberbatch would be an ace Joker

The Tim Burton Batman movies have almost no redeeming qualities. All copies if them should be destroyed.

Not sure who I'd cast as Batman. I've recently taken a liking to Fassbender;

Could be worse. Could be Keanu Reeves. I could never bring myself to watch Daredevil. Daredevil was one of my favorite Marvel heros when I was little.
