internet and phone provider

hello all

I have a question for the Nagoyahammer hivemind. Does anybody use Commufa Hikari for their ISP/phone/TV provider? I'm considering a change of keitai, and if I go to AU (where my missus is) we both save money on the bill if we change our ISP to Comufa.

If'n anybody does have Commufa, I have a few (somewhat specific) questions:

1) How's the bandwith? Is Netflix or other HD streaming okey dokes?
2) How's the bill? Reasonable?
3) Can you use Unotelly (or other DNS service?)
4) How do they react to torrents whizzing through their servers? Has anybody been served a C&D?

I await your collective wisdom, O great and mighty Naghammer...*MiJ backs away, kowtowing as he goes*

I don't use them, but no matter who you use you should consider a VPN service if you're concerned about C&D's from torrents...

Japan doesn't have C&Ds for downloading, they have fixed penalties and jail terms. :D

I use Commufa and have no complaints mate.

Don't know the costs off the top of my head, but the speed is fine for Netflix and such.

I don't use Unotelly anymore, but when I did it worked fine with BBC and C4.

Just be really careful when you cancel Softbank mate. They have a very small window of which date you can get out of the contract without being charged 10,000 en plus. Check with customer service the exact date!

cheers, all. @Ashmie - AU say that they'll cover any cancellation fees for customers cancelling competitors' contracts.
