mtg duels on steam

Post by me_in_japan » Sat Jan 13, 2018 4:31 pm

So....

Does anybody play Magic: Duels on Steam? If so, do you fancy a game some time? My cards/decks aint up to much, as I refuse to plow a single yen into online gaming, thus my collection is dependent on my grinding my way through games to get coins, but I'd be more than happy to play against you if you're up for some virtual card-tapping action.

Incidentally, if you'd be interested in playing but dont have the game, it's free to download and you can pretty much breeze through the tutorials/single player and thereby accumulate a nice wee pot of gold coins to spend on cards to build decks from.

Any takers?

I used to have an account, but when Wizards said they were no longer going to support it, I deleted it. I figured the number of players would drop off sharply once the new MtG game was released. I can try to reactivate my account, though I'm not sure if I'll be able to get my old cards back.

is it not linked to your Steam account? Or was that the account you deleted? I know mine just straight up grabbed all my data from Steam and went from there. No separate user account for the game or owt. For what it's worth, I dont think the new mtg game has been released yet. Could be wrong on that, though.

I checked last night. I had deleted the game from my PC and from my Steam library, but it appears that they did keep all of my old data, (not that my digital MtG collection is all that important, but it makes me wonder how much 'deleted' data is being stored by these big corporations :? ).

So I have reinstalled the game and all my cards/decks are back. Now I just need to find the 'FreeTime' app and the 'WifeDoesn'tNeedMeForAFewHours' patch and I should be good to go.

I just heard they released a upgrade/downgrade app for life called Unemployment. It fixes a lot of the free time issues. Just google "How to get on Welfare". Enjoy! (Just do your best to avoid in app purchases for "necessities".)

Some of those microtransactions are a bit pricey.
