Remember when GW used to do stuff like this?

Thought this might be interesting for a few of the newer/younger gamers amongst us.

When GW opened a new store, they would have a big promotion on that day.

The 6 coupons (4x10%, and 2x25%) entitle the buyer to the discount printed on the ticket on ANY product they bought.

On the left, it shows the red dot/yellow dot items. If you bought two box games ( Blood Bowl, Space Hulk etc), you would get one of the expansions for free.

Under that it has a buy two blisters, get the third one free offer.

I shouldnt look through old WDs. It depresses me. :(

I remember the Australian stores opening actually, and there being a big thing about it in WD.

This the contents page of a WD from 1988.

We have;

Rules for orc warmachines.
A full WH40K army list for Space Marines.
A unit entry for Harlequins to add to your Eldar.
A WHFRP scenario.
Rules for Chaos teams in Blood Bowl.
Rules for infantry in Dark Future.
A competition to win a copy if Realm of Chaos.

I remember when I used to really look forward to White Dwarf every month.

Kerrang used to advertise in White Dwarf long, long ago when a large proportion of GW players were also metallers.

You really should stop posting those. You're just making everybody miserable...

Actually, over on the GW home page there is a big article about them revamping WD from the ground up. Word on the street is that they are considerinh putting 'content' into it. :o :o

Gedouddahere!

Actually, I did notice that GW and FW were present at GenCon this year (an event from which they have been absent for quite a while.) Could this be the start of a new publicity push?

Im not going to hold my breath.

If they really want to impress me, they should bring back The Black Gobbo. That was a GREAT website.
