NH24 - Painting Contest (Fri May 3rd)

Post by Primarch » Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:19 am

It has been suggested that we hold a small painting contest this year, so that is what we will do.

During the lunchtime (and breaktime if need be) on the Friday, there will be a table set aside for paint entries. Anyone can enter and we will have a simple (anonymous) vote to decide the winner. Everyone will be eligible to enter and everyone will be eligible to vote.
+Entries can be any type of miniature (not just 40K), so feel free to enter even if you aren't a Warhammer fan.
+Entries can be a single model, vehicle, squad or small diorama. The only limitation is that it must (roughly) fit within a 6"x6"x6" cube.

I will see what I can do about rustling up a small prize for the winner.

I'm keen, but I barely paint these days. I'll do my best to come up with something. Also, if you need any help with organising, shoot me a PM.

To be clear, it's just one overall contest right? Not multiple categories (single, vehicle, diorama, etc.)

You going to be judging, or will it just be a "People's Choice" award? Looking forward to seeing everyone's best work. I really need to hurry and finish up my the Silver Bayonet figs I am doing for my buddy and get back to work on my own stuff. I think it would be appropriate to enter something I have done since the last Nagoyahammer at least.

Should entries be models that were completed within the last year? Or since last NagoyaHammer maybe?
