Not that I am bitter or anything.
WTF? Outside of Captain Smiley down there in Mie you are the bitterest man in the entire Chubu region. I mean you chased one of your former BB opponents clean out of the country :D :D :D :D :D

Back on topic. I am keen for some Blood Bowl, having bought the game just before the current shenanigans began.

For any new players, one piece of advice, don't listen to any of the Admiral's 'friendly' advice. He told me that Monster sized players are a waste of money and get killed too easily. In my first game with him he played witha Kroxigor which promptly ate half my team. A few weeks late he turned up with an Ogre team!!!!

There are only three pieces of advice necessary to play BloodBowl well:

1) Get assists whenever possible.
2) Do the easiest (non dice-rolley stuff) first.
3) Do not play sober (except as and when religious restrictions apply, of course)

Other than that the best way to learn what works and what doesnt is just to do it and see what happens.

With regards to to Prim's game of dungeon bowl, Dbowl was a game that we kinda made up ourselves, and was in no way official or anything like that. It worked well when played with the right teams and players, (and I still maintain that the dungeon I built but never painted woulda been ace on a stick. Lava pits, baby, yeah!) but yeah, getting bogged down in 4 hour long games was a big weak point. If we ever started playing Dbowl again (as opposed to Bbowl) we should definitely revise the rules.

I was trying to think of a witty retort, but you're right. :D

On topic again, I'll have to look around my gaming room, I'm sure I have some BB figures in there somewhere. If not, Black Scorpion do a wicked looking Human team and an Orc team, or those new Dwarves from warlord look pretty unique.
Impact Miniatures also do a large range of suitable models.

The country is a much better place without him.

And as for Cpt Smiley, what you call bitter, he calls seeing the world as it is.

Time constraints have forced me toward quicker games, but I miss Blood Bowl.

What LRB are you guys playing with these days?
My teams were built with LRB 5.

it looks like there may well be some interest.
Does anyone in Nagoya have an actual team/pitch/templates etc?
Pitch -- Yes
Templates -- Yes
Teams -- 7
Time -- Limited :?

Actually, I have more teams than I'll ever have the time to play, so I'd be willing to part with my Undead and perhaps 1-2 others. PM if interested.

I've got no template or pitch, but I could donate some time. :D

I'd be interested in a team if there are some games attached. :)

Since the LRB5 isn't available from GW anymore, someone would need to track down a place where it can be downloaded, or provide copies themselves for everyone who wants to play but doesnt have a copy.
As AGP says, the version GW have up is purely the rules without any of the fluff or frills that came with other versions. To be honest, all the missing bits a) dont help you play the game and b) are in the book if you buy the boxed game anyway. Essentially the Competition Rules are LRB:Final Edition.
I have LRB5 in .pdf which, to my knowledge, is and has always been free for distribution.
So, PM if you need a copy.

Let me know what teams you have Jesse and send pics if you can. Are they painted?
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.
