Mouse models

Post by ennui » Sun Jan 01, 2012 8:18 am

So I'm going to use the kobold minis from super dungeon explore for my skaven team:
Knuckleheads = linerats
Slingers = throwers
Shield dudes = blockers
Kobold ogre = rat ogre

What base size are rat ogres? Is the kobold ogre (at 50mm base size) too big?

I'd like something cool and sleek to use as my gutter runners... Any suggestions?

As long as it can fit (roughly) onto one bloodbowl square, it should be fine.

@Ennui - I will look through my D and D minis and see if I have anything you can use. It might not be as anime-ish as your current minis though.

Cool, I would very much appreciate that.

Where can I find out about the base sizes of the models? I think the tree men are bigger bases than the rest, but the rules online don't say anything about that...

Aim for about 1 inch squares. It doesnt matter if the bases are a little bigger so long as there is room to overlap them.

base size in BB doesnt matter. All minis occupy "1 square", which, as Prim says, is about 1inch square. Yes, treemen (trolls, etc) are on bigger bases, but thats just so the mini doesnt fall over. If the base is too big, tho, it squeezes out the minis standing adjacent to it, and thats a problem.

*edit* you can get around this by building your own pitch with mega big squares, if youre so inclined :D

Ooohhh, ok! For some reason, I thought that the larger models occupied more squares. Thanks for clearing that up! I think I'll have to think of a different model for a rat ogre, then... but I don't plan on recruiting one right away so I guess I can wait.

I think I'm going to make another human team with my cultists, just to have a couple of teams to play at home...

Blood Bowl squares are 29mm, IIRC. If you do build your own pitch, remember to make a scaled-up Throwing template to go with it.
