TakaOrka Bowl

Post by YellowStreak » Tue Jul 09, 2013 3:33 am

I'm thinking of hosting a one-day 4-coach round robin day of fantasy sports mayhem at my place in Takaoka, a 7 min subway ride from Nagoya station on the Sakuradori line (red line).

As it will be at my place, I have room a max of 3 additional players to battle it out for the inaugural TakaOrka Cup!

At this stage I was thinking Saturday 20th July if there is enough interest. I also have a few teams available if you'd like to play but don't have a team.

I will publish some tournament rules, but basically it will be using the current rules (LRB6) a 1.1million gold build, star players allowed only after you have purchased 11 regular players, with a choice of skill packages to apply to your team.

Cheers,

YS.

I don't play blood bowl anymore but I think it would still be a fun day to watch.

Wow this looks very cool. Even though my sumo plans fell through on this Saturday, I've already promised the day to my wife and I probably can't wrangle out of it because of Badruck's event the following Saturday.

Otherwise I'd love to spectate if I have some free time and you can fit some more bodies in your space.

Generally, I'm up for Bloodbowl, but unfortunately that weekend I'm already booked up, so no can do. Some other time, theoretically, though, yeah, I'd be up for some BB.

I'm in the same boat as MIJ - I would be interested, but I already took off Saturday the 27th, so I doubt I could get the 20th off on such short notice.

My wife and kids leave for Turkey that day, and will be away for a month.

Don't get mr wrong , my wife is the epitome of understanding, but even she would get peeved if I'm not there to say goodbye to her and the kids before they leave for a month.

Well it sounds like people like the idea, but the date is troublesome.

May I suggest Saturday 10th August and/or Sunday 18th August.

Let me know if you;re interested and which weekend. If there's enough interest (i.e. 3 coaches per day) I'm happy to do 2 tournaments.

Sorry for being off the grid!

I'd be interested in taking part - but August 10th is my Epic thing, and my parents will be in town on the 18th.
Feel free to call me Dave!
