Not sure, really. The original article introducing the unit into 40K was in White Dwarf 144 (December 1991). That same issue had an advert for the album. It's possible the band got a tour round the design studio and a sneak peek at what was going on, but I would think the lead time on an album is a lot longer than that for a miniature and some rules - I would think the song came first.
