Options are;

1) Scratch build one
2) Buy one
3) Use one of the non-super heavy data sheets
4) Don't play

No points limit?

None at all mate. The only stipulation is that it is a single entry/data sheet. But I reckon it is fair to say that if you bring something super nasty/cheesy/heinous, you'll be on the receiving end of a gang stomping :twisted:
Like an Eldar Titan?

No idea mate, you would know more than I about it. Never even taken a look at the stats for on.

Can we assume you mean one Codex entry (i.e. One Uber squad of Bad Boys (or Girls) tooled up with everything they can get) or one Apocalypse Super-Heavy vehicle/gargantuan creature data sheet. Some of the data sheets = an entire company of Marines or the equivalent.

Ah! I was not aware of that.

I will open that one up to discussion. What say all of you? Should we ;

1) One super heavy OR tooled up codex entry

OR

2) Anything goes

OR

3) Anything goes within a point limit of XXXX

What do you guys think?

This is true and I am sure that the Filthy lists are are in the works.... Masters of the Chapter is one that would be fun but for the Eldar Titan of doom

yup, I'm in.

um, re "anything goes" - unlike Spev, I have read the apocalypse rules.

I'd say "anything goes, except for stupid stuff that will make you win automatically or generally cause a lot of annoyance for people."

e.g. a single unit will always be ok. You wanna bring a warlord titan, thats fine. Just dont blame me if everyone gangs up on you from turn 1.

however, if you start trawling through Imperial Armour: Assault on Gorgonzola looking for the brokenest unit you can find, then folks are gonna notice and call you on it. Its on your own conscience...

Likewise, alhough a "green tide" formation isnt broken per se, it would be bloody annoying waiting for someone to move all two hundred of the wee buggers, so id include that in the "dont be a fool" category.

Me, Im bringing either a Titan (currently in its component parts, btw - i decided i didnt liek the pose), or a Cobra, or I might try and cobble together that Aspect Warrior formation. I suspect the Titan would work best and cause least hassle for folks, but we shall have to wait and see how I feel nearer the time...

PS @ badruck - It has armour 12 fer crying out loud. Its no harder to kill than any of my tanks. It doesnt even get the two-dice-on-the-damage-chart rule that most eldar tanks can buy. What's the problem here?

I agree with M_I_J that we should keep to the spirit of the game and not cheese things up BUT I also think that an actual points limit or number of models limit would be useful. I am not worried about balance as that is not the name of the game but I am worried about someone moving a million models arount the board.

How about this;

If it is a single model, its fine and no questions asked.

If it's a formation, run it past everyone to get a yay or nay.

M_I_J has already said what he will be bringing (well, one of two things), Pike will be bringing something purple and perverted, and I will bring a SkullHammer or, if I can find the time, a Gargant. Nobody is going to be tailoring lists to lay the smack down on anyone so it shouldn't be a problem letting people know.
