Can you hear that? It is the world's smallest violin and it is playing a sad song. Just for you.

I am looking forward to seeing how a Swooping Hawk heavy army does.

It will look glorious even as it dies like a flock of pigeons being sucked into the intakes of a 747.

Just you all wait for the new codex! There will be a reckoning!!! *shakes limp wristed eldar fist at the sky*

Actually, I was mucking about with army builder yesterday, and I reckon I could field about 2000pts of corsairs, if I proxy a couple of units of reavers or guardians as corsair jet bikers. Assuming the new eldar bikes (to go with the as yet hypothetical new codex) look like the concept model/dark eldar ones, I might even consider getting some to finish my corsairs. All I need for em, btw, is the bikes and a pirate cap'n looking chap. Yriel springs to mind, but FW might actually do a proper corsair captain. Here's hoping...

@Prim: But that flockof pigeons will destroy the engine at the very least. worst case scenario they will make the 747 crash. :D

@MiJ: After just a quick perusal of the new rules, IMHO there are some very cool new things for Eldar.

1) Default psychic power is like super guide. Longer range and affects all 'to hot' rolls not just shooting. No reason not to take it
2) Eldar Jet Bikes = pretty good now, a solid choice
3) Witch Blades/Singing Spears S9 + 2D6 when rolling penetration. Yes please.
4) Jink plus Wave Serpent Force Field. Yes please.
5) Glancing everyone else's vehicles to death. "Oops, did I just Bladestorm the ass off your Leman Russ? Sorry"
That's just after a quick read. Plus there are several rules that just seem to have been written with an eye on a future Eldar codex.

3) - Which rule book are you reading? As I read it, Witch blades S3 +2d6 vs armour. Singing spears are S9+1d6 vs armour. Until they offer up an FAQ saying that Singing Spears ARE Witch Blades, I will remain sceptical about that 3 point upgrade.

Witch Blades are Strength as User according to the core rules.
Singing Spears are Strength 9 vs armour according to the Eldar codex.
