Re: The future of 40K?
If they limit the use of this chart to chaos types and radical inquisitors, it seems pretty cool. If everybody gets a go, then of course we can all just self-limit it to chaos types or radicals, and also give GW a stern look of disapproval for their blase attitude towards the fluff.

As an option for Chaos Marines/Daemons/Radical Inquisitors, it's not a bad idea. I can't see myself using it for any other army though.

Interesting thing leaked from the new book in Dakka. (Same link than before)
Battle Forge Armies can reroll warlord traits (useless) and their troops get Objective Secured that allows them to control and objective even when contesting troops are within range as long as those contesting troops don't have the same rule (Now we are talking about a worthy rule)

Re: The future of 40K?
I saw something similar to that on one of the dataslates for the Tyranids, I think. If you brought a certain number of Gargoyles, or something, you could hold objectives and ignore contesting enemy models. I am not sure if I like this rule since it sounds like it might involve buying more models to have a "good" army.Miguelsan wrote:Interesting thing leaked from the new book in Dakka. Or you'll just have to buy more Urutoraman monsters......The Underdweller wrote:I saw something similar to that on one of the dataslates for the Tyranids, I think. It probably isn't going to matter much. Either both players play battle forged armies so the rule is discounted or one player gets the rule and his 'super' scoring units take 10 Riptides/Heldrakes/Cans of Spam to the face.Miguelsan wrote:Interesting thing leaked from the new book in Dakka. I think it will end up being used as often as the random terrain rules in the Nagoya group. (I.e. it will be ignored entirely).
Here's hoping that the rest of 7th is well written with dynamic, unambiguous rules. 6th already took longer to play than 5th, so I'd like 7th to smooth things over so we can get through games at a decent pace.
