incidentally, Seb - my apologies for the blatant thread hijacking. It happens here from time to time. Someone asks an innocent question about starting their own chapter, some folks give their advice, Badruck says something daft, people call him on it, he gets more defensive (and even dafter) and its all downhill from there...

I think what the Admiral is saying is that he can't see the problem with using Shrike and the codex he comes from to represent 30K World Eaters. I THINK that is what he means as I too found his line of logic (or maybe just his typing) a little tough to follow. At first I thought he was suggesting writing your own codex! Honestly, who knows with that bloke!!

Writing your own codex is a big job I am finding it hard to write for a unit let alone a full codex... I am sure no matter what I write it will always get called over powered...

I personally have no problem playing against home made stuff... I played against Prim's Primarchs and agains the movie Marines list and that was all fun... so go right on and make up a dex... as long as it is fun I will play you and I guess other people will as well...
