On the other hand, that's some very high levels of "nobody who's more than an inch from the model will be able to tell the difference" energy between those two fusion guns - rivaling the rapid-fire vs assault plasma guns on the primaris marines. Which means that in practice you'll be able to just pick one and inform your opponent which it is before the game starts, since you'll have to anyway.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I'm probably going to build whichever looks better and call it a day.
Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
So a bunch of the specialist games just got an update.
Firstly, there's Aeronautica with Tau Vs IG. A pity they can't release a box set without an Imperial faction but I'll take it. Hopefully there's more Tau aircraft coming other than the ones in the box set but I can't think of anything other variants.

Next up is Necromunda with new models and a book for the Goliaths.

In other news Titanicus is getting a new box set, which I'm not too jazzed about. However, they're also releasing the Nemesis Warbringer Titan, which looks fun. Apparently it can use arm weapons from the Reaver but the arm mount looks different so it might be tricky with magnetised weapons.

Also another campaign book, which is set after Calth.

Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
I'm afraid I think that titan looks real dumb.
But eh, I can just not get one. (Give me Imperator!) The starter set is what the Grand Master Edition *should* have been, a good actual starting point for getting into the game, and the campaign book apparently has rules for psi titan orders, which is awe-some.
I really dig those new Goliath models, and the existence of women in the range in particular. If I a) played Necromunda and b) played Goliaths I'd be pretty jazzed.

I agree that the new Titan looks like a hunchback but I'm probably getting one too and I need to figure out a way to make my magnetised Reaver weapons fit and vice versa. The new box set is alright but I feel like half of the Grandmaster box set would be a better starter. Since the Grandmaster box already exists its good that they went for different models in this box. I'm not a huge fan of the Reavers so I doubt I'll be picking one up.
Necromunda kits are a gold mine for conversion bits but unfortunately I neither play Necromunda nor play an army that could use the bits.
I can only hope they're going to release a Manta for AI.
Edit: I thought the Grandmaster set came with Warhounds too but just Warlords and knights make for a pretty poor starter set and the new one is better for sure.

Hmm.

On the other hand, it looks pretty sweet with a warlord head, and I do have some spare warlord heads...

It's something about the balance - the Reaver-scaled weapons on a Warlord-scaled body, plus the big spherical head. Probably not helped by GW's famed skill in taking pictures from weirdly bad angles.me_in_japan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 3:34 pmThe titan is what it is. Huh. If rumors are to be believed, and price-point rumors are usually solid, that AT starter box is going to be 90 GBP - the models alone retail for 130.
Also apparently they're going to be moving to thinner card for the terminals and packaging them together with the titans, which is a very welcome development.
