Ugh, very true! I have a feeling craftworld and drukhari and both going to get squatted like baseline astartes, (the poor bastards), and ynnari will become the new eldar. Just a hunch.

The "major" Eldar reference I was referring is the Ynnari release with Gathering Storm since that had major story tie-ins and technically introduced a new faction. Since then the only Eldar releases I can think of would be Jain Zar vs the incuboys. The Admech releases make sense since that line needs the unit variety, although it would help if they would just port over the 30k units to 40k too.

Anyway, given that Necrons are one of the few armies (other than Tau and Orks) that have no option of souping up, it would be nice if they got some new units.

Also, those polar bears remind me of the Golden Compass novel so I might need to figure out which one of my armies could use an armoured polar bear.

Grognard literally comes from the French word 'Grogner', which means 'to grumble.' Grognard was a term originally used for Napoleon's Old Guard, (despite the name, most of them were in their 30's) the veterans of his army. Regular troops were expected to keep their mouths shut and get on with things, but due to the respect for their experience and skill, the Old Guard were permitted to speak freely, often complaining about the hardships of campaigning and earning the moniker Les Grognards.

Also, armoured bears would potentially be very cool.

The "tripod from War of the Worlds but it has 4 legs so pedants will get mad at you for calling it a tripod" is probably my favorite, and I like what looks like the reimagined Nightbringer too. The Silent King is a bit... much, but pretty much everything else in the picture is Really Cool.

I do unironically like the Stormcast Energy on this guy though.

Looking at the main picture, are those new Flayed Ones on 40mm bases to the front left of the monolith? And a new character too? The Necrons appear to be getting a lot of new (embiggened) toys.
