She's got an optional helmet too! Like unrealistic undead wings, front-line fighters ignoring basic helmet safety protocols has a long and storied history in miniatures.

I’ll concede that the trickle of Necromunda stuff we’ve seen since it’s rerelease (which to be fair amounts to quite a lot of stuff) has been pretty much universally fantastic. These Delaque maintain that - the dudes are creepy and the beasties are weird. If I played Necromunda, I’d play delaque. Thumbs up from me

Whoa! Stop checking GW for a month or so and lookit all the toys I missed. Lots of great (and a few misses) stuff coming outta gee-dub these days!
Did no one else see that awesome Colonial Viper at the bottom? Just why is it painted green?
That High Lord battle suit is such a swing and miss! Overall, great lines, balance, grim-dark set at "11", no helmet be damned. Fine, fine kit and right up my alley. It's the arms and controllers sticking out front that ruin it for me. They tried this with that Grey Knight "I got power armor on my power armor" battlesuit thing and didn't pull it off that time either. Probably easy to replace the arms with heavy stubbers or something though.
The Sisters, cool, especially the banner. If I had an extra 5-7-man and 20 hours a week, I'd love to build 2-3000 pts of Sisters.
Dig the big Centaur. The flutey elf flutes and elfs very, very well. The flying centaur vampire.....two great models that just don't fit together.
Nice try with the Delaques. I do like that they are really pushing the Necromunda Houses into very distinct styles. Almost like different species at this point, but these just don't do it for me. Maybe with a better paint job.
And sad to say, the Painboy just does not get a Waaaaaagh. The bionic bitz could be from any figure, nothing about it says "ORK!" Minus the catheter bag squig and the green skin he could practically be a Dark Eldar Haemoculus (that's what the gribbly Frankenstien things are called, right?)
But over all, damn. There is nothing they can't build these days.

Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
So last night was the Ork's turn in the limelight and they revealed a new army set featuring the Beast Snaggas and the new Ork codex. Unfortunately its going to be a limited run just like the Sisters army set.

From what I can tell it contains, 20 new-boys, 3 squig riders (w/ a grot), a squig rider character, and Zodgrod Wortsnagga (named Runtherd?). Hopefully it's priced appropriately but either way it's going to be in hot demand and the scalpers are going to have a field day with this one too.
Other than the contents of the box that they mentioned that those only make up half of the new Ork models, one of which is this new Warboss in Mega Armour which looks fun. It's nice to get a model with a grot gunner again since that was a slightly difficult bit to kitbash with the current kits.
Also GW finally seem to have acted on all the feedback requesting a upgrade sprue for IG and are releasing one with new heads, guns, etc. They mentioned that its going to be included in the guardsmen kit from now on but didn't mention if they're selling it separately. Also, that probably means that the guardsmen kit is going to receive a slight price bump.

Now that they've finally realized that they can release upgrade sprues for old kits, I hope they release kits to convert the cadian guardsmen into other regiments or upgrade kits for other factions along with their codex releases.

Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
I think they said that the contents of the Ork box will be available separately after the first release. Personally, I prefer the more 'civilized' Orks (
), but I think these will appeal to a lot of players.
As for the IG sprue. #Sigh# The Cadian models could use a revamp, or should just be replaced with a new regiment. In the fluff, Cadia was blown up, so how about a Neo-Cadia or something? The BSF traitor guard show what IG could look like with a bit of attention. These extra heads and arms, while nice, don't really go far enough, and even a small price bump is going to add up on an infantry heavy army like IG.
To continue the gripe, why aren't there 10 respirator heads? And why is one guy wearing underpants on his face (top right)? Is he a big `Kyuukyoku!! Hentai Kamen' fan? (Look it up)
On the plus side, more specialist weapons and female heads are a definite good point.
The new Ork Warboss looks suitably awesome. That's the kind of model I'd like to see more of. Hopefully it has some more weapon options in the box, but it's great either way.

If anyone is worried about this and wants to lock one in, Plamojuku has *never* failed me. I'd be happy to order one for you if it helped.
Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
I'm torn on the Guard stuff. On one hand they look decent, we finally get weapon options at long last and it's nice to actually get something - on the other hand it's almost a 20 year old kit now and they couldn't even be bothered updating the models properly. Instead we just get a couple of head and weapon options. The biggest problem with Guard infantry is their size and scaling with newer models and this upgrade sprue doesn't help that at all.
Unfortunately, I think just releasing a basic upgrade sprue for the ancient kit pretty much shuts down any chance of that happening.
Also I'm personally a big fan of panty face. I might get a whole squad of them going and call them the 'panty raiders'.

Even with Cadia destroyed, they still make up a huge portion of the Guard - not to mention the 'Cadian look' kind of became the default for many other regiments outside of Cadia. I think changing the default Guard look is a bit risky since the vast majority of IG players already use Cadians - changing their look would be a pretty harsh move. I think all they need to do is just update their proportions a bit and they'd be perfect. The BSF traitors are a perfect example of what they could do.Primarch wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 3:13 amAs for the IG sprue. #Sigh# The Cadian models could use a revamp, or should just be replaced with a new regiment. That didn't stop GW from doing Primaris, or from updating most of the Chaos Marine minis either, it probably won't stop them from redoing IG when they feel like it. I think this new sprue is a way for GW to sell more of their existing IG stock as a stopgap until they update the full range.
