I keep looking at the frames of Kruelboyz from Dominion, looking at those previews and wondering if I really want to trade them away...

(I do. Even if I wanted to have lots of AOS armies, going for all the ones that get early battletomes after doing the same thing for 40K is not optimal)

Those goblins are looking seriously cool. Hmm, do I really need another set of Fantasy models?

The Stormcast dude with the glowing blue eyes is, I think, the first SCE mini I have seen that I have genuinely liked.

Hmm. HMM!

So. Yet another relaunch of Kill Team, with ad copy stating a "ground-up redesign". IF this means they actually redesigned it from zero a la WarCry, and it's not just a 9th edition port, I'd be tentatively interested. If it is just a port to 9e and the ad copy is being hyperbolic, I'll stick with 40K I reckon. Personally I'm hoping for the former, but they seem to be a lot more conservative with 40K than with AoS, so I'm giving it even odds at best until we get more news.

(All that said, it's a typically cool trailer, and plastic Death Korps will doubtless make a lot of Guard players extremely happy.)

I'm hoping it fits the WarCry niche and offers a legitimately quicker and easier game than Combat Patrol.

My real wishlist item would be some kind of crossover with Crusade so you could maybe earn some RP or something by playing a KT game and there'd be no kind of opportunity cost to playing one or the other depending on what your opponent prefers or has time/minis for. Not that Nagoyahammer folks would be hung up on that but it's nice when the incentives all point in the right direction.

Either way I'll get the rulebook and we'll count KT games for the Charadon campaign.

Putting DKoK and Orks in one box feels like targeted harassment. Depending how much other junk they jam into that box to bloat the price tag, I might end up getting multiple copies of it... I don't even play IG.

If it's anything like the first KT or Warcry box the junk is really good terrain* that makes the set a bargain.

If it's more like the second KT box...well...

*Albeit in the case of KT not super easy to get to Nagoya Minis Club.

According to their website:
This is a brand new game, wholly redesigned to capture the brutality of special-ops combat in the 41st Millennium.
Which gives off a lot of Warcry-ish vibes, which is a good thing in my opinion. The fact that the box set seems like its going to be DkoK vs Orks also makes it feel like their product line-up might follow Warcry in some ways. If they release a plastic infantry box of various IG regiments, as well as taking the time to redesign older/resin infantry kits, this could make a lot of different factions happy. Imagine using this as an opportunity to refresh things like old Eldar and Nid kits too since they would fit in really well at this scale. Well that's what I'd do if I was GW, lets see if they have a solid plan behind it and manage to actually revive Kill Team.

Regarding the terrain, It'll just make it harder for me to justify buying too many of them. But I guess it depends on how good the terrain is and how well it works on mass (e.g. the Warcry terrain doesn't work well if you have a ton of the same stuff). Also if they're making it more like Warcry I feel like there's also going to be a fair amount of component spam. (i.e. cheap printed material to mark up the box price which is going to have timed-exclusive models.)

New KT holds no interest for me, but DKoK do. It depends how they do it though.

Most demanded (loyalist) IG regiment in plastic? :D
5 monopose figures?

I'd love to see them port over the DKoK range from resin to plastic (because I hate resin), in the same format as the current IG. 1 box for your squad, 1 for heavy weapons and 1 for command. Add in an artillery piece/thudd gun and the centaur and you've got a very solid start to a new army.

I guess we just have to wait for the announcement with the details.

Tell me about it. I was looking at spending too much on minis with these new Orks coming out then GW goes and does this to me?

In saying that though, I'm not as excited about DKoK as a lot of other people - 5 to 10 guys is not enough to start an army with and they don't fit the aesthetic of the rest of the Guard range so they end up pretty much being exclusively used for KT. I'm being very selfish, but I would've prefered to get something for the Guard that I can actually use in my existing army. Of coarse this won't stop me from getting it, however.

Also as someone who doesn't play either Kill Team or Warcry, what's the major difference?

Kill Team is basically still 40k 8th edition rules, with some added granularity for skirmishing, but Warcry is a completely different game system than AoS (or in fact anything GW’s done before), with a pretty slick and streamlined resolution system and keyword-coded special abilities. They actually designed a new system for it, ground-up, rather than just kludging the same old WS / BS / S / T, roll to hit, roll to wound, roll to save system the core games have been using since 1985.
