You and M_i_J do that everytime we've done a multiplayer anything anyway.

Players may take one vehicle model from any current codex.
How about Imperial Armour?

Who is the 'ardest? Wraithlord? Furioso? Killer kan?
Sounds Like fun. Isnt the Wraithlord a monstrous creature though? By that standard could Blood Thirsters enter?

For all of these games are we allowing Deep Strike/Infiltration style shenanigans or is that kind of pansy behaviour banned?

Imperial armour - No
Wraithlord - No (I shoulda known that)

I say no Deep Strike/Infiltration/Scout. It doesn't really square with the face-to-face, mano e mano e alieno nature of the event.

I have no idea about the vectmobile.
What Fw would you be thinking of taking?

Dont you need A) Vect (a named character) and B) a full squad of troops to use the Vectmobile. Since we've already determined that the Last Man Standing game is for 1 model I reckon its not really on to bring 1 model AND his personal transport AND a squad. Since that would violate the whole 1 model rule.

And I asked about Imperial Armour and was told NO, just a couple of posts up the thread.

Seems MIJ has been spending too much time with a certain salty sea dog and caught Madmiralitis :D :D :D

But just to re-iterate...

No FW except for the Apocalypse smack down, says I.
Vect can't take part in the KOTH as he is a named character.
Vect (by himself) could have taken part in LMS but IIRC he has to be taken with his special transport and bodyguard which would be well outta line so.....NO
There wouldn't be much point in taking him in the Demo derby, would there?

sorry - yes, yes, ok. musta been selective blindess. I just wondered if the d cannon eldar tank was ok. Its a new toy and i fancy using it. Likewise the wraithseer.

nah, vect is takeable without the vectmobile. Not sure if I would, tho.

In the vectmobile? Hell yes. AV13 all round, plus a shock prow which adds +D3 front armour when you ram, on a fast skimmer that can whoosh around at 24" a turn? eat that, land raider! And thats ignoring the 3 dark lances and troop transport potential of the thing (which obviously, we would be, as there would be no shooting or troops in demo derby.)
So, to summarise: its not OK to take the vectmobile, despite it being a codex entry? Even if Vect and his chums were on board, its not like they can do anything, what with there being no shooting (and, by inference of the spirit of the rules, no CC either)

As for deep striking etc: yeah - keep it simple. We set up on the table and try to kill each other as unsubtly as possible. no pansy crap (except wibbly energy fields. Im all in favour of wibbly energy fields)

Because Im the kind of person who thinks that 40k is largely won before the dice are rolled (i.e. list building) I have a couple more persnickity questions:

for the walkerthon, can eldar take wraithlords please? Its not like a wraithlord would be particularly broken, given what itd be up against, and the only alternative is a war walker (BS3, AV 10 all round. woo, scary). Dark eldar dont get nuffink in terms of walkers, so thats about it so far as im concerned. I could bring my nurgle dread, but then Id be bringing 3 armies, so to speak, and id like to keep it at least pointy-eared themed.

Did we say no monstrous creatures for the KotH? Only, an avatar is an non named character HQ choice. So is a bloodthirster, I believe (I could be wrong on that one.)

I reckon that for KotH, any HQ is fine. I would have no probs with an Avatar.

If you have Vect and hi posse on the VectMobile and they do bugger all, that would be fine with me. Still, Demo Derby is Pikeys brainchild so ask him.

I reckon the demolition derby will not be very cool if skimmers are taken they are just too hard to hit with a land based tank I can take a all kinds of ramming good ness but skimers have a 3 plus dodge roll so no shooting make it a bit too hard to kill them in a ram only game.. that said I have the actual model MIJ is talking about and I will be happy to take it if we can take skimmers...

The best way to do this is to give every one either an ork truck or a codex Space space marines rhino and go at it... other wise it just will get out of hand...
