I managed to watch it too. I just had to turn off my VPN to watch it.
The animation and voice acting was alright but not quite at the level of modern animated shows and I would've preferred something new in terms of story but it was a good watch. Unfortunately it feels more tuned to people newer to the franchise which again contradicts their decision to throw it behind a pay wall instead of using it to bring in more people.

Edit: I feel like I'm a little too jaded at this point. Every time they showed a new type of Ork or IG thing, it just got equated 1:1 to the actual model which my brain translates as advertising unfortunately. Sure it was nice to see things in motion but its pretty just like when they write unit names in their novels with descriptions that sound like them trying to push product.

A new Primaris Black Templar has been revealed by War-com.

The new flamer has a 15" range and -1 AP.


Why is that important? Because Templars getting a 15" flamer was part of a set of rumours that dropped earlier this month. If that specific rumour is true, perhaps the others are too.

The following is a collection of the current rumours/wishlisting?? doing the rounds.

September 2021:

New Ork releases alongside a Black Templars army box, similar to the Sisters' and Beast Snaggas' boxes, containing:

Codex Cards Crusader Squad (6 Initiates and 4 Neophytes) Emperor's Champion Seneshal Redemptor

October and November 2021:

Complete BT release with

Ancient, Helbrecht, Grimaldus, Emperor's Champion, Seneshal, Initiates (6 Marines with Intercessor CC equipment or auto bolt rifles), 4 Neophytes (boltguns or chainsword). The Crusader kit will have options for a Sword Brother unit leader with cape, and there's a 15" AP-1 flamer.

The Sword Brother kit will have plenty of CC options and the option to make a Marshal (like with the Custodes Warden kit that gives you the option of making a Captain).

There will be two Crusader Squads: the old one that everyone knows and a new one made up exclusively of Primaris. The latter will be 5-11 Primaris Initiates, 4-8 Primaris Neophytes, and 1 Primaris Sword Brother. Neophytes will have 2 W and 2 A like other Primaris.

There'll also be a conversion/bitz/upgrade sprue that will have Templar relics on it (so-and-so's helmet, the sword of such-and-such, etc.), shotguns for Neophytes. and more customisation options like extra arms (Neophyte holding a helmet), or backpack-mounted candles. There will also be a multi-melta which will become a BT vehicle option. It'll replace the stubber on Primaris vehicles.

There will also be a Kill Team box with Sisters Neophytes (new kit and unit entry) vs T'au Pathfinders (upgrade kit) with existing Imperial city terrain.

December 2021:

Custodes and Genestealer Cults with a box, similar to the Hexfire (TS v GK) one, containing both factions, with a new character for each: GSC Saboteur and Custodes Lieutenant.

and also, I must admit I'm pretty excited about the new black templars stuff, ya'know, since I happen to have fortuitously started a BT army. I have games to play between now and release, but I don't really want to get anything new until I know what's up with what in the new codex supplement.

I think these are the first completely chapter-specific Primaris sculpts, too - we’ve gotten shoulder pads and such, but the tabard and reworked chest decoration are farther than they’ve gone before with them. That does suggest, to me, that a big wave of BT is a reasonable assumption.

(I’m just glad - well glad for everyone else who doesn’t have blanket damage reduction - that the initial post on WH community showing the super-flamer with damage 2 was a quickly-rectified misprint. )

Just going to chime in on the Tau rumours.
The two new kits they seem to be planning make no sense. Darkstrider is a named sub-faction locked character who most people wouldn't even bother with buying. As far as I know the new Shadowsun wasn't too popular either so I don't see this going any better. They could've just as easily released a new generic character option since Tau only have 2 generic infantry HQs.
The pathfinder upgrade kit is also a bit of a headscratcher since they already have special weapons and are a pretty complete kit. The only thing I can image them adding is a new type of weapon which would be pretty annoying to myself and everyone else who already owns 20+ pathfinders. But who knows it could just be more rail rifles and ion rifles which they might add to change the unit composition options. Or it could even be extra heads, including some fancy Tau pantsu.
