As I am in open rebellion against our GW oppressors (meaning I love 40K and I hate GW) I would like to pool the collective Model knowledge with regards to counts as alternative models and companies that make models.

Rules for using and adding to this forum in order to post please post a picture or like to a picture of the GW40K model and then most a picture of the alternative model and information on where you can buy the alternative model.

To anyone out there that is like why are you attacking GW they have done nothing but build a higher quality of model.. to them I say GW brought this on to them selves when the raised the prices in Japan and made it harder to buy models from over seas all is fair in love and war.

The zombies would also make a good base for Dark Eldar Wracks, if you GS on some robes and bladehands and similar.

For Imperial Guard, the obvious choice would be ;

But I have heard mixed reviews and also heard that since the takeover, standards have slipped.

I have some of those guys (I was using them today infact). They are great. Very cheap, easy to paint with an acceptable level of detail. They can kind of fit some GW parts for conversions.
As for the company. The company never had their own production line, they were renting machines in China (I think). However the original manager wasn't very good at his job and ran up massive debts with the production company (ie he never paid them a penny). The production company then halted production as you would expect leading to massive backlogs. Eventually the company was sold to the production company as a way of paying off the managers debt. In the meantime, the manager slagged off the production company something rotten on all the forums. After the take over, the production company was left with a business they didnt actually want, massive backlogs and extra debts and have since been working to clear that lot. I think they are back on an even keel now and are looking at doing heavy weapons teams for the above mini line.

So: GW IG Heavy Weapons

Wargames Factory Heavy Weapons (coming soon)

I'm keen to get some.
