Check
this site out. The user has made some very nice Eldar conversions and is currently scratchbuilding his own Eldar Superheavy Tank.

I must say, I think those ramps are pretty darn cool, especially the falcon ramp picture.

I am just saying what everyone should be thinking this guy is a bit nuts. Not quite as crazy as the guy who built a manta from scratch but still well on his way to a padded room a straightjacket and a cup full of pills ...

Yeah, very impressive. I can see the true dedication to careful planning and scale with his sketches and very careful and methodical construction.
But, wow! Come on! 4 grav-tank, 1 wave serpant, some forge world stuff combined for this project!

That's amazing. I can't imagine the scale of his 40k collection if he's at the point to invest this much time and money into one rare model.

to be fair, some people just dont buy minis to play games with. Maybe he has a really teeny tiny collection of uber converted stuff, cos he just likes converting stuff.

That was pretty impressive. I do a lot of converting, and I have to say that was some of the damn purtiest plasticard cutting I have ever seen. Dude can cut swooshes! I have enough trouble with just straight lines and right angles.
Sketches were nice too. I usually sketch my stuff, but mostly for inspiration, working out the idea. Once it all has to come together in three dimensions it all sort of breaks up and I end up just making it up as I go along.

Could you imagine that?
"Here are my two squads of 20 guardians, and my farseer. Okay, finished deploying your units? OK, here's my
PEGASUS SUPER HEAVY GRAV TANK!"
Okay, a bit of exaggeration on my part, but still, his collection has to be hefty enough to probably field an Armageddon game. Anyway, I think it is likely the guy has at least over 3k points of Eldar to be imagining something like that, but I'll bet he's got a lot more Eldar than that to not be considering using those three grav-tanks he's sacrificing for his collection.

You do know that M_i_J has a Titan right? So does Pikey. I personally have 9 super heavy tanks. Kondo san bought a Forge World Manta (look it up). My collection is obscene in it's size, but M_i_J is a lot more thrifty than I am and he still splurged a huge amount of cash on his little toy. Owning cool models can be the goal sometimes.

Maybe he doesnt game at all.
It's not that hard of a concept to wrap your head around.
Buy cool mini.
Enjoy painting cool mini.
repeat.
Lots of people collect and paint with no intent to game whatsoever. For example, I have 3 wolfen but have never in my life played Confrontation (and never will, obviously.)
