For those of you too lazy to trawl the internet all day everyday in the hopes of finding pretty pictures of GW's new toys, here are some pictures of the new flyers being released this month.

First up, the Necron Doomscythe. It looks pretty Necron-like and fits the codex artwork.


Next, the Ork Fighta and it's variants. Nice looking kit.


And finally GW give us the best reason yet to buy one of Forge World's Storm Eagle Gunships, presenting the Storm Talon "Short-bus" Gunship.


Seriously, what the F#@* were the designers thinking for the Space Marine one? The Ork plane looks great, the Necron flyers look reasonable. The Talon???????

I think the gunship is supposed to be a helicopter-like vehicle, not a swooshy jet fighter.

The Doomscythe looks pretty badass.

Doom scythe - best reason to play crons I've seen. Verra nice. Too expensive to consider purchasing, but hey-ho

Marine thing - hum. I agree that they maybe meant for it to look like a heli thing. If so, they um...fell a little short of the mark, shall we say. Should've made the intakes a)bigger and b) facing down. I mean, what keeps it up? It sure as hell doesn't look like aerodynamics does...

Faith is our shield! And also our only means of keeping this thing in the air.

None of the Empire's airborne vehicles that I've seen really have enough wing surface for aerodynamic lift, so I assume they all rely on some kind of anti-gravity technology.

Of course, you guys have read the books, so you should know better than me.

They dont appear in the books. At least, not yet. The stories follow the game and not the other way around.
As far at the Imperium's technology goes, they do have anti-gravity technology, so maybe it is just that.

I may pick one up to make in to a looted bomber it should not take much work.
