Got some of the new Space Wolves models…

I picked up an order of Fantasy and Space Wolves stuff today. Specifically, I got the multi-part plastic kit Space Wolves Thunderwolf Cavalry, which looks excellent, and the Finecast Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf — perfect for what I needed, since his left pauldron even has the emblem of the company I'm basing my army on.

Anyway, this is my first Finecast model since the Tree Kin I bought last year, and I have to say, after looking over all the pieces, I cannot see any flaws. The usual flash of course (which is so much easier to scrape off resin than metal), but I haven't found any bubbles or miscasts yet.

Incidentally, as a nice touch, they actually include a busted up piece of Chaos Marine armour to put on the base.

That's good to hear! The desert scorpions will look forward to some mock battles against their beastly brothers!

What Wood Elves did you pick up?

I got a Waywatcher Lord (metal), more Glade Guard, and some conversion bits for my Golden Demon project.

Hey, I got some Space Wolves models too! The Fenrisian wolves are wicked keen! And actually wicked keen as in sharp! The details on these new plastics are so fine I was poking my fingers on the ears and fur putting them together.
They will not be Fenrisian wolves though, but Dire Wolves for my Undead Warband. Ahhhwoooooo!

Agreed. The sculpting and detail is excellent, and I can imagine the wolves being useful for all kinds of projects besides Space Wolf armies.
