may I put forward the eldar as a fluffy codex?

Ive been reading "Path of the Warrior", the new Eldar novel (i thought they said they werent going to do Xenos main characters in novels...? anyhoo...)

According to this here bit of story fluff:

Young eldar poncy artist type gets his knickers in a twist cos his mate is cooler than he is and the girl he fancies gives El Coolio more attention than El Wistful Artiste.

He gets....ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He decides to become an aspect warrior, and signs up for the Striking Scorpions. He spends some time standing on tree branches posing like a kung fu master. Then he spars a bit with other scorps, all the while, feeling ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, he gets sent out to fight against an ork incursion on a maiden world. He slinks through the shadows, gets near the ork horde, and bespies the warboss. AHA! a chance to release his ANGER!!!!!!!!!

He charges the warboss, who promptly beats the sNOT out of him and near about chops him in half with a chain axe. Last I read, Our Hero was passed out unconscious from blood loss being stretchered off by his mates.

Sounds like eldar vs orks, in my experience!

Hehehe. I like it. Nothing like a "I'm the bomb" character getting bounced.

Don't know if the ability to lose counts as fluff. Guess it would.

I'm sorry, who is the reigning NagoyaHammer 40k tournament champion again?

You all better show some respect.

Ignore these plebians M_i_J, they know not of what they speak.

I will be the first to say that MIJ's tournament army was hard core. Eldar falcons and wave serpents have got to be some of the best troop carriers for price in the game. Apart from the Blood Angel's cheese with wings (forgot the name). I'm not bad talking MIJ's gaming, the striking Scorps novel character could have been from any race. Just like the aggressor getting palmed in the face.

Our game after the tournament was a close one and if just one of 3 dice rolls had gone my way, I would have pulled out a win against it... but ifs and could haves don't change anything. Come to think of it, I liked playing Dave's eldar when he had much less minis to choose from.
