40kampaign

Post by Seb » Fri Oct 26, 2012 10:28 am

Is the 2012 campaign still active?

And is 40k still the most played game in this group?

Sorry to start a new thread over this but didn't know where to post.

I guess it is still alive though I think most people are just getting in to the new rules.

I've been playing mostly Fantasy this month, but soon I'll start planning what to take to next year's NagoyaHammer.

No, the campaign is far from active. The last post made was back in May.
As for the most played game, everyone seems to be playing whatever they feel like these days.

Maybe that's it. Perhaps we should only play 40k and Blood Bowl next year. That way we can all get good at it.

I reckon trying to get all of us to do anything on a given day is hard enough. Persuading all of us to something for a whole year is doomed to failure. Case in point: I wanna play battle for alabaster, actually get in some 6th ed 40k before 7th ed comes out, use my new warmachine models that I've had for about 6 months already, and maybe even open the boxes my trollbloods came in. Oh, and I have a whole Malifaux gang not even opened, too. I don't think I've wargamed since Nagoyahammer in May, apart from one game of warmachine in Glasgow. Fething ridiculous, so it is :(

I cant even remember when I last played a game of WH40K or table top BB.

It has pretty much been Talisman and Uncharted Seas this year.

I am not to bothered about the lack of 40K gaming as I know it will always be there. Saying that though, I have recently been getting the urge for a bit of GrimDark.

Just FYI. I'm very much into playing a 40k campaign by January. Please let me know if one is running or one is going to be running or someone would like me to run one. Thx

It would nice to use some kind of risk map or starmap to show the regions or planets fighting for,
I am thinking something like in the style of these;

Or making a home made one using this and an image editing software

Other than that, no complicated rules, keeping it simple
